Donya Davis, a self-confessed bookworm, is now a part of the incredibly talented and growing team at Ketchum UK. Starting off her career as a brand manager to a tech startup, she then moved into the Programmatic Advertising space, before making the jump to the world of PR. Working in the PR industry for around 6 years, she understands the synchronicity that is needed within account management, the creative department and the clients. Before joining Ketchum, Donya headed up the in-house design team at Freuds. Over there she rose through the ranks, turning their in-house design team into a client-facing design studio, now known as @freudsid. Her recent work is the brand and identity for The Hamilton Commission report, Accelerating Change: Improving Representation of Black People in UK Motorsport.
Favourite campaign of 2021 and why?
I’m not being biased in any way but Adobe’s Love the Journey campaign, featuring a love letter by British rapper Little Simz to her mother, was truly incredible. Tears were shed. Emotions were high. I felt that through my whole body. I, myself, wouldn’t be where I am today if my mum didn’t believe in me from the start. She doesn’t even truly get what I do, but she is with me every step of the way.
