Karen has over 29 years’ experience in media relations both agency side and in-house as the former Head of PR and Sponsorship at Virgin Holidays. She has worked with a variety of travel and lifestyle brands both in the UK and French markets from tourist boards and hotel groups to tour operators and beauty brands including: Greater Miami CVB, Cyprus Tourism Organisation, Intercontinental Hotels, Olympic Holidays, and hairstylist Errol Douglas MBE. She opened TippettPR & Social Limited in 2010 offering a “blended to order” service for clients to create their own mix of personalised senior level service from: strategic direction, communications basics, targeted sector specific media relations, social and digital content management, crisis management, and campaign creative. Current clients include: Elite Island Resorts Caribbean, Imagine Cruising, Ultrasun and SkinSense. She is a four-time CIPR “Outstanding Independent Practitioner” winner and has been listed in the PR Week UK Annual PowerBook from 2013-2021.
