Favourite campaign of 2021 and why?

Channel 4’s ‘Altogether Different’ campaign. I thought the message was truly on brand but more importantly it had substance. The campaign showcased programmes and content that reflected the diversity of the UK and differentiated themselves from their rivals in doing so.

Who is your communicator of the year?

The violinist, Nicola Benedetti. She has used her position and influence to inspire musicians of all ages worldwide. She speaks and shares openly about the challenges about being a professional musician, from technical aspects of performance to mental wellbeing.

Person of the year?

Marcus Rashford. No need for further explanation. If you haven’t heard of his work, then look him up and be inspired.

Favourite comfort food?

Lamb Cawl but with an Asian twist by adding some ginger.

Film you have watched more times than any other?

Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle. I just love the story.

Song you can’t resist dancing to?

I tend to dance to anything. I go from ‘dad dancing at a wedding’ to thinking I’m at an audition for Lady Gaga dance troupe at a key change.

Event you are most looking forward to in the next 12 months?

I am really excited and honoured to be part of the BME Pros The Xec. leadership programme which has a brilliant line up of sessions and events over the next few months, but I am most looking forward to a trip to Hong Kong to visit my family, who I haven’t seen since 2019.
