Mary-Jane is a senior advisor with over 11 years’ experience delivering communications programmes for global corporations and industry associations, advising clients on purposeful communications and developing campaigns that are credible, compelling, and have the power to drive industry and behavioural change.

Mary-Jane’s background spans across agency, in-house and freelance, starting her career at Burson-Marsteller and working as an Independent Consultant for the past 6 years. Mary-Jane has consulted on communications strategy, reputation management, and narrative development for brands and organisations such as BlackRock, Accenture, Vodafone, HP, Lucozade, Ribena, Forum for the Future, Tata Steel and more. She is also an Assessor at Cambridge University’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), on its popular ‘Communicating for Influence and Impact’ course, advising business executives on purpose-driven communications and influencing skills.

Favourite campaign of 2021 and why?

Tangle Teezer ‘Hairy Tales’ campaign. Positive representation of afro hair, particularly amongst children – important and way overdue.
