She often advises companies, charities, and individuals on complex, high-profile and sensitive issues. She is an award-winning former journalist with over 20 years’ experience in news and current affairs and has reported for BBC News, Newsnight, Panorama, Radio 4, Channel 4 News, Dispatches, Unreported World, Sunday Times, and The Guardian. Zaiba is a trustee of the John Schofield Trust which supports new journalists.

Favourite campaign of 2021 and why?

Marcus Rashford’s End Child Food Poverty campaign – his integrity and compassion made me cry.

Who is your communicator of the year?

Dr. Louise Newson for helping half of the population.

Person of the year?

The wonderful receptionist at my GP surgery who has the patience of a saint and never buckles under pressure

Favourite comfort food?

Hot mashed potato with cold baked beans or cheese toastie with peanut butter, Marmite and celery (I’m finally sharing a culinary secret I’ve harboured for years)

Film you have watched more times than any other?

Spider-Man: Homecoming (on account of a dictatorial 9 year old)

Song you can’t resist dancing to?

I’m in the mood for dancing, The Nolans (you have to work out if I’m being ironic)

Event you are most looking forward to in the next 12 months?

Taking my son on a proper adventure.
